THE PROPERTIES OF THE DEAD SEA

The Dead Sea is a large salt lake (1049km2), located between Israel, the West Bank and Jordan and receives the waters of the Jordan River. It is characterized by its high salt content (350-370g/L) and it is due to the salinity of the waters, the climatic conditions and the quality of the sludge that the Dead Sea is an incomparable natural spa.

Due to its high salinity, the density is so high that the bodies float, its minimum temperature is 10ºC and the degree of atmospheric humidity does not exceed 35%.

- Calcium chloride 35 gr/L

- Potassium chloride 11 gr/L

- Magnesium bromide 9 gr/L

- Calcium sulfate 7 gr/L

- Other 20 gr/L

All this means that the Dead Sea has therapeutic properties to improve rheumatic diseases (arthritis), skin diseases (psoriasis, acne...) and even respiratory diseases (asthma). It has relaxing, hypoallergenic, soothing and moisturizing properties. It also reactivates blood circulation and has a diuretic effect, therefore it also acts on edema and cellulite. In addition, its air is relaxing, since it is rich in bromide and magnesium.
